Welcome to Bar Botanique, the green oasis on Eerste van Swindenstraat in vibrant Amsterdam East. After a stroll through the Dapper Market or Oosterpark, take a seat and enjoy our Mediterranean menu, with a table full of small dishes made for sharing.

We work with seasonal ingredients, and everything is designed to be enjoyed together. From a quick bite to a long evening of dining. From morning coffee to lunch, dinner, and drinks, with neighbours, family, or friends. Anything goes.

Our mezzanine is also available for private hire. With flexible group menus, we easily accommodate birthdays, meetings, and dinners.

The building has a rich history. It was once a gymnasium for primary school De Commelinschool, and later Café de Ponteneur. Today, we continue that neighbourhood role, warm, informal, and in our own style.
