Welcome to Bar Botanique; the green oasis on Eerste van Swindenstraat in the always lively Amsterdam-East. After a visit to the Dappermarkt or Oosterpark, stop by for a culinary expedition in our Café Tropique!

Catching up with the neighbours over a cup of coffee, a long lunch with friends, a cosy dinner with your loved one and a cosy drink: it's all possible. With a beautiful mezzanine, which can also be hired privately, and a wide group menu arrangement, we always find an opportunity to organise birthdays, meetings and group dinners, among other things.

Bar Botanique's premises have a rich history. Where it first housed the gym for the pupils of De Commelin primary school, the popular Café de Ponteneur later graced the corner of the street. Today, we are happy to continue the image of the neighbourhood's living room café.
